About This Finish

All of our hand-applied finishes require multiple steps from our skilled American artisans. As we a result, each piece will be unique with variations in color, shading, burnishing, distressing, crackle and/or texture. Each piece is treated as a true work of art, one-of-a-kind pieces that are rich in beauty and personality. To preserve this character, we offer Fairfshield+ as a standard application on all upholstery finishes. This clear, protective topcoat varnish forms a chemically cross-linked barrier that is more resistent to wear and more impervious to moisure and commercial cleaning materials. Fairshield+ is also formulated with UV inhibitors to reduce the harmful effects of sunlight and features silver ion technology (an antimicrobial agent) to help preserve the finish and protect against mold, mildew, fungus, and odor-causing bacteria. Our Casegood finishes for Monogram feature a conversion varnish topcoat.
