Caster Use & Flooring Disclaimer

Casters are not recommended for use on wood flooring. Fairfield's hooded ball casters are designed to perform best on low pile carpet or solid flooring. They are not intended for use on heavy pile carpet, which may limit mobility and performance.

Fairfield's standard caster is suitable for most flooring types; however, flooring materials and carpet construction can significantly impact how a caster functions. Because these conditions vary, Fairfield cannot control or predict performance on all surfaces.

Fairfield does not accept liability for damage to flooring that may result from the use of an improper caster. Always consult the flooring manufacturer for guidance and recommendations regarding caster compatibility prior to installation.

All casters are professionally installed using our specially engineered boring and attachment techniques, which are BIFMA lab-tested and approved to ensure secure fastening, reliable performance, and longevity.

Caster Options for Dining & Game Chairs

Our hooded ball casters are designed to enhance mobility while maintaining the refined appearance and performance standards of our seating. Ideal for Dining Chairs and Game Chairs, these casters are engineered for durability, smooth movement, and long-term serviceability.

Recommended Use

For Senior Living applications, casters are recommended on the front legs only. Front casters allow residents to pull up to and away from the table with ease, while helping prevent the chair from rolling away unintentionally. Caregivers can also gently lift the back of the chair to assist with repositioning when needed.

For Commercial & Hospitality applications, casters are recommended on all four legs. Allowing the user to pull up and away from the table with ease.
